Singlife, Icon target improved private cancer care
Firms aim to leverage technologies to connect data, streamline customer journey
The Asset 13 Jan 2023

Financial services company Singlife and private care provider Icon Cancer Centre Singapore have agreed to work together to enhance access to affordable cancer treatment and patient care in Singapore.

The companies aim to reduce the burden of cancer for patients, they say, by leveraging technologies to connect a network of data and streamline the end-to-end customer journey. The partnership will enable both organizations to provide more affordable and sustainable cancer treatments and services so that patients can focus on recovery.

Singlife currently provides a suite of cancer protection products, protecting customers in the event of hospitalization and as part of its critical illness coverage plans.

“This partnership will allow us to provide customers a broad spectrum of best-in-class cancer services vital for their treatment,” says Helen Shen, the company’s group head of health. “We are also actively exploring partnerships with various cancer clinics and hospital groups to improve the end-to-end journey for patients.”

Serena Wee, Icon’s CEO for Asean and Hong Kong, says: “This partnership to develop evidence-based insights and protocols will streamline the cancer care journey and make treatment options more accessible, thereby alleviating the burden on cancer patients and their families.”
